Brief Introduction
Dr. Simon Wu’s main area of expertise is in company, commercial and business laws. Dr. Wu is the author of “A guide to H Share Listings” (2013) and “A Guide to GEM Listings in Hong Kong” (2014), both published by Wolters Kluwer. He also published a number of research papers on the securities markets in Mainland China and Hong Kong and is the author of Volumes 3 and 4 of “The Hong Kong Encyclopedia of Forms and Precedents” (company formation, registration and general company matters) published by LexisNexis Butterworths in 2015. He has also contributed practice notes and precedents to Lexis Practical Guide (Corporate – GEM).
He was an Associate at a city firm in Hong Kong between 1997 and 2001 where he mainly handled IPO-related and listed companies-related matters. Since 2007 he has been an occasional Visiting Fellow at the School of Law, City University of Hong Kong. He has also been a law tutor in the Department of Accountancy at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
